Conversations about Love, Legacy, Grief and Loss.

At Whole Heart we are passionate about you.

We care about the love you have for your family and friends, how you mourn those who have passed and how you continue to honour the legacy of those you loved and admired.  We help create beautiful loving farewells, memorial moments and services.

Thank you so much for the Service you gave for Mum - it was perfect. It was exactly as I hoped and, more importantly what Mum would have wanted. Your choice of playing “English Country Garden” first ; set the tone for the rest of the service, and the rest followed beautifully.

Your compassion and dignity was felt by all the family.

Funeral Celebrant (BA/BEd GradCertMin)

We know that you want to celebrate your loved one’s life in a personal and unique way and we at Whole Heart want to help you do that.  We care about the important details that make your loved one’s story unique.  Our goal is to help you incorporate these details into a loving and individualised farewell.  We recognise the honour and privilege that it is to be entrusted with your loved one’s story and we provide compassionate and specific guidance to your family at this difficult time.  We are Geelong people, caring for Geelong people and we have excellent working relationship with local funeral and bereavement companies.

As a female funeral celebrant, Kristy Harmon brings a female’s care, intuition and understanding.  Kristy is creative and expressive and with your guidance can assist in selecting suitable readings, music, poetry, scripture or prayers, to suit the farewell that you desire. Her presentation style is warm and engaging.  Kristy is able to cater to the needs of multi-generational groups.  With care and compassion, she includes bereaved children, young people and parents throughout the funeral process.

Parent and Education Conversations

At Whole Heart we know that parents are the best people to answer their children’s big questions! But…..we also understand that parents don’t always feel confident to do so.

We help equip groups of parents with the skills they need to talk to their children about the issue of death and dying.  Using experience and knowledge gained working in education, pastoral care and funeral settings we facilitate a conversation with parents to share knowledge, skills and relevant resource.  With an approachable and relaxed teaching style we make confronting topics accessible and welcoming to a diverse audience. We invite schools, kindergartens and childcare centres to contact us and plan a parent conversation about grief and loss within their own community setting.

Testimonials

Hi Kristy,
I can’t thank you enough for helping us to giving Lauren such an amazing send off.
My friends and family who streamed the service said what a fantastic job you did. Some even ask if you were a friend because they said it was so heartfelt.
Thank you,

KerriGeelong, Vic

Kristy- You were so brilliant today, i can’t thank you enough. Everyone was impressed with you, no more than me though. You were utterly perfect in your assessment of Mum and the gorgeous way you brought respect, love and fun into the room. Thanks so much.

To Kristy- We would like to thank you very much for doing a wonderful job at Shirley’s celebration of life. To talk to the family for such a short time and turn our words into a very professional and beautiful service is a credit to you.

I'm writing on behalf of Helen's and my family to express our appreciation for how well you conducted the service for Helen's funeral.
Following our brief 'introductory' meeting, you seamlessly brought together small fragments of our conversation about Helen into a really comprehensive understanding of Helen's character. It was as if you had known her, personally, for years. It was amazing, engaging and endearing to our family! Also endearing is your sense of humour that blended well with the mood of the gathering.

Hi Kristy,
I would like to express our family's appreciation for the thoughtful and engaging delivery of Hennie's service last week.
Everyone commented on your warmth and the feeling of inclusion - just the right mix of emotion, support and a touch of humour. Thank you again for making it a true celebration of Hennie's life.

During such challenging times in all our lives, I was still grateful to be able to attend the funeral service of my dear friend's son. I want to firstly thank my friends for allowing me the privilege of attending, albeit, online. Secondly, I wish to acknowledge and thank Kristy for one of the most beautiful and respectful funeral services that I have ever attended. This is especially such a huge compliment to you Kristy as it was online. I however, felt like I was there, standing by my friends and supporting them whole heartedly. Kristy, your warm welcome, heartfelt words and constantly referring to family and friends who were present online, made me feel such a part of the service.
Thank you,
